Last night as I was watching the Grammy Awards, I saw Chris Stapleton’s performance and instantly my favourite song by him started to play in my brain.
Unlike most people, after my heartbreak, I found it truly challenging to be able to listen to break up songs (unless they were by John Mayer). When I heard Tennessee Whiskey for the first time I didn’t become sad about my heart break, but I became hopeful about love for the future. Every work that Stapleton articulated didn’t represent my former love of heartbreak but it allowed me to envision a different kind of love that I could experience. That’s the beauty of music; you can always find a song to identify with in every case and for every feeling and that is the greatest gift that we have in song.
My friend is currently doing an exchange in Paris, France for one year and he sent me some funny snaps while touring the city! These were too humorous not to share both here and on my Instagram! Check them out and let me know if you laugh!
ITS 2018! I feel like after the 2017 I have had, the beginning of a new year is the best way to start fresh and move forward in the most positive way possible. I believe that only good things can come from this year and that I have to dedicate it to working on myself and my career. Positive thinking is key to growth and success moving forward. I have to continue to work on that as the year goes by.
I will continue to occasionally write on this blog as it has been my baby since 2012, but I don’t know what other content to focus on in the new year. I will continue to think about this.
Anyways, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL. Best wishes for 2018! You can do anything you set your mind to.
