I know that this song came out a really long time ago but I have just gotten so into it. Jealous is a song by Nick Jonas (negative his other brothers). I was on the Bus heading to work and it just started playing on my iPod. For the first time ever, this song made me feel really happy. I think that this is a cute song. Its not special or anything, its just kind of cute. Hopefully you think so too :).
I normally blog about music but I thought that it was definitely time for a little change. Occasionally, I will be doing blog posts about eBooks that I have stumbled upon, read, and quite enjoyed. I don’t believe in negativity too much so I’m going to leave It out and only focus on the books that I liked. To start off with, I will write a short review on the book, Lost & Found by: Nicole Williams.
Lost & Found is a young adult (emphasis on the target audience due to latter themes) novel based around a troubled young woman named Rowen. Rowen faces challenges in her life and with her mother. In order to teach Rowen a lesson, her mother sends her off to live on a Ranch with he best friend from university. Upon arrival to the country side, she is greeted by a charming young cowboy named Jesse…and the rest is history (well its pretty typical). Rowen is gloomy. Jesse is positive and attractive. They fall in love despite their differences and they are better for it.
I really did enjoy this book for the fact that I was able to love both of the main characters. I loved the story line and way in which it progressed. I really have nothing that I would change about this book. The main thing that I liked was the reverse in gender roles. Rowen was more experienced in life than Jesse. This is an unusual theme in young adult books so it was refreshing to see a different perspective on youth romance.
I would rate this book a 9/10. It was really enjoyable and I recommend this read! I will post a review of the second one soon!
Over the years, my mom has always raved about the music of Annie Lennox. Personally, I cannot remember any of the songs by her that I would have heard, until the 50 Shades of Grey Soundtrack. The opening scene of the film serves as a montage/introduction to the character of Christian Grey. While we are getting a crash course into his daily regime, this wonderful song (I Put A Spell on You) plays in the background. I remember being in the theatre and hearing this song. I was amazed by her amazing vocal ability and jazz instrumental of this song. So I went home, opened up my iTunes and searched for this song on the 50 Shades Soundtrack.
This is one of my favourite songs lately. I cannot stop listening to it! There is so much emotion In this song and his song is perfect for describing the relationship that Ana and Christian do have in the movie. He does put a spell on her…its just kinda different. Now I am searching for more Annie Lennox music to curb my addiction to this one song. Jazz lovers will definitely enjoy this song.
This semester is almost over! Yes! I am finishing up my second year of university and I could not be more excited. It feels like I have been in university for almost 5 years when it really has only been 2. I feel FREE.
…And Free is the title of the song I am going to be writing about today since it is so ever relevant to my life right now. This song is by Rudimental featuring Emeli Sande. She is amazing so you can already guess that this song is probably amazing.
I was doing my typical Friday night fun thing last week, which basically consists of me indulging in another episode of Girlfriends Guide To Divorce (if you liked Sex and the City you really should watch this show). At the end of the last episode, I heard this beautiful, moving and captivating song. I just loved it. So I did what any music obsessed person would do when they hear a song that they love…hunt for the name on google.
I eventually did find it and because I loved it so much I did pay that $1.29 for it on iTunes. This song kind of reminds me of Sia’s Breathe Me, which is a song that I hold very close to my heart. The video is also moving as well as was extremely well done. Anyways, I did enjoy the song and I really do like it. I hope that it sparks your interest to!
